Becoming the UK’s first B Corp winemaker

We are thrilled to announce that we are now a Certified B Corporation™! Another first as we become the only UK wine company to achieve this status.

The Uncommon joins a global community of brands using business as a force for good.

B Corp is a certification for ethical businesses who work not just for profit, but to benefit people and the planet.

We don’t want to mark our own homework. The experts at B Corp looked at every inch of The Uncommon’s social and environmental impact, offering a transparent view of our business - for all to see.

It also highlights where we can do more.

Our score is 107.6 out of 200. Most businesses score between 40 and 100, with 80 points required to become certified; a score of over 100 is considered ‘Outstanding’!

Recent stats show that out of more than 100k companies who have applied for B Corp certification, around 4000 have been successful.

It was a rigorous year long process that was far from easy! From day one, The Uncommon’s mission has been simple; to make great quality wine in the right way, with a positive impact on people and planet.

We are delighted to join the B Corp UK community alongside progressive UK food & beverage brands such as Innocent, Dash Drinks and Oddbox.

We won’t stop here. The Uncommon will continue to improve and break tradition for the better.
